Vadivelu in 2011 Born Vadivelu 10 October 1960, India Nationality Occupation Film actor, playback singer, comedian Years active 1988-present Vadivelu is an Indian film actor, comedian and playback singer. Since the 1990s, he performed supporting roles as a comedian in and is renowned for his slapstick comedies. While having worked in over 200 films, Vadivelu received awards in the Best Comedian category for his performances in (1996), (2000), (2001), (2005), (2006), (2007) and (2008). In 2010, Vadivelu held a press conference, accusing fellow comedian and actor Singamuthu for forgery and financial cheating. Vadivelu, who was previously friends with Singamuthu, purchased land from him but later came to learn that the documents were void. This resulted in the former taking legal action against the latter.
During the legislative assembly elections that took place in during April 2011, Vadivelu vehemently campaigned for the (DMK) and its alliance. During his public speeches, he predominantly condemned politician and actor, whose party, the (DMDK), allied with the opposition party (AIADMK), headed. His allegations of Vijayakanth included him being a 'drunkard'. In a campaign speech in, Vadivelu stated that '(his) only aim is to sweep out Vijayakanth's whole team and to campaign vigorously for DMK's victory'. Vadivelu was criticised as being biased, only supporting a DMK-led victory for personal gains and not once mentioning anything against the official opposition, the AIADMK, or its leader. Pooja is Narain's best friend, and he is secretly jealous that other girls can get his attention, but she can't. Shiva saves Pooja from John's men who kidnap her, while Narain and others think it's a prank. He later becomes a sensation among the students and teachers. He befriends Narain and Pooja and falls in love with the teacher Mallika , after being attracted by her beauty and in a bid to convince other students that he is one of them. During his regular jogging sessions, Shiva spots Ram and chases him until he escapes with the help of a helmet-clad bike rider who is later revealed to be Narain. Pooja comes to know that Narain has been helping her father and feels cheated by him.
